After being diagnosed with ALS in 2004, Avi Kremer founded Prize4Life to pursue a cure for this orphan disease. Despite its progression, Avi continues to lead Prize4Life's efforts on three continents and remains committed to finding a cure. There are around 500,000 people afflicted with ALS throughout the world. These portraits tell a few of their stories.

With each donation made to Dollar4Life, a pixel in one of the portraits lights up. Help us light the way to a cure for ALS.

Follow our progress toward our 2009-10 goal of $100,000.
